D120 speakers are handmade in Toronto, Canada. The enclosures are custom made of low-resonant polymer and multiple layers of real wood veneer. The crossovers are made using foil PIO capacitors and inductors which we custom make ourselves for each pair (as shown in the last picture). We don't use PCBs, inductors with metal core, lytic or film capacitors. As the result the crossovers are bigger and heavier than the ones commonly used in speakers but they are particularly distinguished by their 3D-like staging, their harmoniously dynamic vitality and detailed performance. Our crossovers are built to provide the best possible sound without ever having to recap or upgrade any of their components.
These speakers are designed to take as little footprint as possible while providing the best enclosure and crossover for Accuton Ceramic woofers and Scanspeak Beryllium tweeters which we proudly use. Accuton ceramic woofers are superior in sound quality and durability. With a clean, appropriate music signal, they will last longer than any other driver unit because the membrane material will not weaken in time. Treated carefully, even your grandchildren will still love them. Despite the fact that these ceramic membranes are very thin, (150 microns) they do not break under normal listening conditions.
Scanspeak Beryllium tweeters do amazing job of reproducing complicated high tones. Flat freqency response doesn't always represent the true nature of the loudspeakers audible output as those measurements are taken at constant db level using three to six samples per ocatve. We like use particular songs to test the highs and lows of our speakers to make sure we have acheived desirable effect.
RCVTECH warrants that all of our speakers to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years. This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser. RCVTECH will cover the cost of the expedited shipment. The custom duties and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.
